Including later hemming the size is two complete original 3ft width
s joined almost perfectly to form a symmetric whole.
 
Trent was the only design hand-block printed onto linen as described in her book plate 63 William Morris Textiles , Parry L., Weidenfield Nicolson, London 1983
. The plate published is in red whilst this is of the more traditional Morris colour-way.

The textile has been conserved onto a fine linen mount there are some breaks in the fabric but these are all now stabilised.


The selvedge verso reveals the company stamp 449 Oxford Street London W.
