Hard to identify its precise origin, which might be best explained as a hybrid or inter-marriage. The design is seen in Afshar rugs but the style is that of Balouch as is the border. Afshars do inhabit Veremin and Semnan, as do the Kuchang Kurd population of greater Khorossan. This bagface possesses a most glorious lustrous wool quality.
