From the southern part of Azerbaijan certain technical characteristics can be seen in the weaving to help identify it as Talish although the weavers could possibly have been Armenian. It is possible that this rug may have been ordered for the London market due to its almost perfect 8 x 4ft size. The rug is in excellent condition having a corner repaired - rewoven to a high standard
