This exquisite fine printed cotton was made for the export trade to Asia in the taste of a Kashmir shawl with a boteh design. The term ' Manchester ' is generic and applied to fine cotton export goods from 19th cent and not necessarily an attribution. Its purpose may have been intended as a bandana but it appears largely unused.
One minor stain otherwise in good fresh condition. Minute hemming has been proficiently executed in hand-sewing verso to a high standard.
