PRICE ON APPLICATION

226 x 164 cm  //  7ft 5" x 5ft 5"

Transliterated variously as BORDJALOU, BORCHALO from the mountainous region of the South Western Caucasian range and named after the Borchalu Turkic tribe, which gave its name to the now dissolved Borchaly sultanate, east of what is now Georgia. This powerfully designed rug is a splendid example of the characteristic group giving a somewhat heraldic impression with what appears to be rows shields.
