Uncharacteristically done in lightweight glazed cotton or possibly silk the appliqué parts are of cotton. Khayamiya work from Cairo uses a heavy tent type cotton fabric and in more complex Islamic and Pharaonic patterns.

Damage in one corner and a small burn hole to centre both of which are easily patched - estimate on request.

Sold as found

Possibly from Street of the Tentmakers Cairo, the inscription states Mashallah.
