This South Sumatran Lawon ceremonial shoulder stole from Palembang comprises of mixed techniques includering very precise silk embroidery wth sequins, laid gilt thread and silk weft ikat. The whole base and green ground all of a fairly stiff medium weight silk - the green colour may signify use for for a widow.
