The range of colours and looser weave is more characteristic the Yomut tribe within the Turkmen nation. However, this design is that of the larger dominant Tekke, whose ubiquitous gul is employed here. Given the two tribal groups lived within close proximity, it is difficult to untangle which of the two actually made this piece, particularly as with the progress of the 20th century, the two groups become more entwined.
